Internet Yellow Pages Company Settles With Attorney General’s Office

Attorney General Henry McMaster announced today that South Carolina businesses, schools, churches and non-profit organizations that were billed by a Florida company for Internet advertising they didn’t know they were purchasing are eligible for restitution under a twenty-six (26) state settlement. The agreement is the result of a lawsuit filed by McMaster and other state Attorneys General regarding the use of “activation checks” by Directory Billing LLC, which does business as USDirectory.com.
